The Country Store

Our quaint Country Store is housed within the farm’s original 1700’s barn. The shelves are overflowing with unique New England finds, and we make many of our own farm favorites fresh in-house.

Apple Cider Donuts

We make our apple cider donuts year-round with a whole liter of pure Red Apple Farm cider in every batch. That, plus a generous cinnamon sugar coating, are what make these so addictive. We make ’em fresh on fall weekends and on weekdays year-round as needed. You might just luck out and snag one hot off the line!

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be the first to find out about donut specials. You never know when seasonal inspiration will strike one of our amazing donut makers! Blueberry, strawberry, cider glazed, and maple have all made their way into the mix, and who’s telling what we’ll come up with next?

Apple Cider

We press our own cider right in house using the apples that are in-season, and sell it in the Country Store by the gallon, half gallon, pint, and by-the-cup. We’re famous for our cider slushies in the summer, and hot mulled cider in the fall and winter!

Our cider is rustic, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. August through March, the crew shows up before sunrise on Fridays to start pressing apples on our old mill. It’s truly a team effort, and the result is a delightfully refreshing, authentic tasting apple cider.

Homemade Fudge

A New England classic. Our fudge is slow cooked over low heat to create that melt-in-your-mouth consistency you remember. Our best-selling flavor is Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt. We rotate our seasonal flavors and have more than 50 flavors in our repertoire! Whether you like traditional Penuche fudge or want to try something wild like Rainbow Raspberry Lemon, come in and try a taste. Our special is buy 4, get 2 free!

Our fudge was featured on Food Network Finds!

Hard Cider

Hard apple cider production has always been a passion and hobby of our 2rd generation farmer Bill Rose. Look up in the Country Store and you’ll see rows of hard cider bottles he’s collected over his years studying traditional cider making methods throughout New England, France, and England. Look in our fridge and you’ll now see growlers of our very own hard cider for sale!

After a hail storm during the summer of 2019 left us with a majority of “cider apples,” Red Apple Farm finally embarked on turning Bill’s vision into a reality, and making our contribution to the rich tradition of hard cider fermenting in New England. Through our partnership with Moon Hill Brewing Company at the Brew Barn, we debuted our own Red Apple Farm hard cider on October 11, 2019, which we aptly named “Hailstorm Hard Cider.”

Our hard cider is special because we preserve the best of the old methods we’ve learned over 100 years on the farm – using our antique apple varieties and pressing our own unfiltered cider base in-house – while embracing newer microbrew techniques we’ve learned through our partnership with Moon Hill. The result is a truly unique, complex cider that benefits from both perspectives.

It’s a semi-sweet, unfiltered hard cider “born of stormy elements.”  In the Country Store, we sell our hard cider in growlers and (soon!) cans.  The moon and apple logo on our growlers represents the philosophy and motto we believe makes our cider that much sweeter: “Everything’s Better When Neighbors Work Together.”

New this season! Check out our brand new tasting room for our own hard cider made on-farm, right behind the store on a gorgeous wrap around deck! We have multiple cider offerings on tap, and you can see right into our fermentation room! We’re so excited for you to see what we’ve been up to and to add a new tradition to your Red Apple Farm experience.
