Summer meets fall thanks to a collaboration with our friends and neighbors at Moon Hill Brewing Co. Our post and beam Country Barn transformed into the Brew Barn serving up our own Red Apple Farm hard cider, local brews, fresh roasted nuts, and popped-on-the-spot popcorn along with your farm favorites. A day at the Brew Barn often includes live music, outdoor picnic tables where you can have food from our BBQ delivered straight to you, old fashioned family fun, and a patio overlooking the orchard.

But the story doesn’t end there!
On Sunday, June 30th, 2019, a hail storm rolled over our orchard and damaged over half of our apples. This could have devastated us, but instead, we decided to seize the opportunity to fulfill a longtime goal of ours: to start producing our own hard cider. Thanks to a large crop of perfectly imperfect apples, and our ongoing collaboration with Moon Hill Brewing Company, we debuted our “Hailstorm Hard Cider” on October 11, 2019.
Our cider is a semi-sweet, unfiltered hard cider “born of stormy elements.” The moon and apple logo on our growlers and cans represents the philosophy and motto we believe makes our cider that much sweeter:
It’s all good in the neighborhood.
We preserve the best of the old methods we’ve learned over 100 years on the farm – using our antique apple varieties and pressing our own unfiltered cider base in-house – while embracing newer microbrew techniques we’ve learned through our partnership with Moon Hill, founded in 2006. The result is a truly unique, complex cider that benefits from both perspectives.

Severance Maple Syrup - (Pint) Plastic
Pure maple syrup is a 100% natural food, processed by heat concentration of pure maple sap. This sap is a sterile, clear liquid, which provides the trees with water and nutrients prior to the buds and leaves opening in the spring. In the boiling, concentrating, and filtering processes, all the nutrients remain in the syrup. There are some quantitative differences in maple syrup’s nutritive composition due to metabolic and environmental differences among maple trees.
