Boston’s Apple Farm

The Boston Public Market

Since the summer of 2015, Red Apple Farm has operated a stall inside the Boston Public Market (BPM), where we’re one of 30+ other farmers and producers committed to providing fresh, locally-grown food to the city. Everything at the Market is produced or grown in New England!

Located right in the center of Boston’s financial district, sandwiched between the historic North End and bustling Faneuil Hall, the Boston Public Market is popular among city dwellers and tourists alike.

A parking garage is conveniently located directly just above the BPM, and the Green and Orange lines are both steps away at the “Haymarket” stop. The North Station Commuter Rail stop is also about a 10 minute walk, so you can easily grab some refreshments right before the game or show!

A Taste of Fall, Year Round

Winter to summer, a stop at our Boston Public Market stall will transport you to a crisp fall day on the farm. We’re right inside the main entrance on Hanover Street, but you need only follow the scent of hot cider donuts to find us. We’ll greet you with a smile and a delicious array of farm-fresh products, from our signature Cider Bar drinks to our classic homemade fudge counter.

You’ll find many of the same things you love about Red Apple Farm in Phillipston when you visit our stall in Boston: hot (mini) cider donuts made right there on the spot, fresh apple cider drinks, fudge, local popcorn, and apples of course. In addition, we make specialty Cider Bar drinks, popcorn flavors, and donut toppings unique to the BPM to go along with the seasonal theme of the Market, using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients to make newfound favorites such as the “Pink Lady:” apple cider infused with hibiscus.

We offer local delivery thanks to Mercato!!

Our cider donuts made the list: Boston’s 13 Greatest Doughnut Shops by the Boston Globe Magazine (March 2016)

We’re known for our apple cider donuts no matter where you visit, but in Boston, we’re famous for our MINI cider donuts. We make them in our “donut robot” and serve them warm. We always have the “classic” tossed in a cinnamon sugar coating, and we also make cider-glazed and seasonal options!

The BPM Community

The Market is a civic resource, educating the public about food sources, nutrition, and preparation. We work closely with the other 30+ vendors in the Market, often collaborating on seasonal menus in order to offer a true taste of New England and all it has to offer. The Market also hosts annual events like Peach Fest, the Agricultural Festival, the Farm & Fiber Festival, and the Harvest Party among others!

Outside the Market

Over the past 5 years, our business in Boston has grown to include catering, wholesale partnerships, seasonal pop-ups, outdoor markets, and special events. As we grow, our mission remains the same: to provide an authentic, New England, family farm experience.

When it comes to New England themed foods, we’ve got you covered. We’re your go-to for fall catering in downtown Boston! You can order our mini donuts, apple cider hot or cold, fresh fruit, caramel apples, popcorn, and more. Our products are foods that fill people with joy and nostalgia, so they’re suited to crowds both young and old. We receive orders for kids’ birthday parties, and also for large corporate functions. We can choose packaging and presentation according to your desired aesthetic.

We’ve prepared bulk donut orders ranging from 100 – 8,000 donuts! From wedding cakes, to individually wrapped party favors, to donuts “on a string,” to donut walls, we can make it happen with a little planning and a lot of apple cider.

Look out for our big red tent at events such as:

  • The SOWA Open Market (TBD)
  • The Boston Local Food Festival (September)
  • Boston Donut Festival (next date TBD)

We’re always on the lookout for likeminded small businesses and farms to partner with. Our cider donuts, homemade peanut butter, fudge, and apple cider are popular additions to any locally themed or tourist shop. In any partnership, we want to find a win-win by coming together to sell products that make people happy, and by working together to make fellow small businesses successful.

Find our products seasonally at The Custom House Hotel, Belmont Book Store, Allandale Farm in Brookline, Newton Community Farm, and Barnes & Noble BU.

New! We recently started selling our hard cider in cans and kegs! If you’re a local bar or liquor store looking to add an authentic hard cider to your menu, don’t hesitate to reach out.

We’ll pop up in your office, in your hotel or residence lobby, at your employee appreciation event, or in your business. Over the years, we have tabled at the Prudential Center, Equinox Gym, Night Shift Brewing Company, Taza Chocolate Factory, Avalon apartment buildings, the Millennium Towers, Wolf Greenfield, and many more.

Whether you’re looking to provide a small fall-themed spread for your residents, or throw a Halloween party for your employees, or host local vendors in your store, we’d be happy to help.
